  • Message from the Principal
    Greetings!

Welcome to a brand new year at the St. John-Endicott Cooperative Schools! We look forward to seeing both new faces and those we know as we get started on the 2019-20 school year. Along with those students new to our building, new staff members include kindergarten teacher Mrs. Jenny Miller, CTE teacher Mrs. Maya Aune, new counselor Mrs. Barbara Hahto, cheer coach Mrs. Goldie Johnson and beginning the year as long-term sub for Mrs. Henning is Mrs. Jessica Kile. All these folks are eager to get started and getting to know their students.

Our core values of Perseverance, Respect, Integrity, Determination and Empathy (PRIDE); will be a focus again this year for our staff and students as we work to accomplish our district goals around academics and positive climate. As an integral part of our Positive, Behavior, Intervention and Supports (PBIS) program, our staff and students work hard to recognize and reinforce these values each and every day. High school students will continue to build upon work begun last year with James Layton and Chewelah Peak through our Character Strong Program. We recognize the importance of healthy relationships in providing the richest possible school experience for our students.

Here are some important, upcoming dates that you will want to include in your plans for the near future:
    • Thursday, August 29, 6 PM Elementary Open House
    • Monday, August 26, 1st Practice Volleyball & Cross Country
    • Tuesday, September 3, First Day of School
    • Thursday, September 19, Volleyball vs. Colton
    • Friday, September 27, Football vs. Colton
    • Wednesday, October 2, Picture Day

Thank you for being a partner with us in the education of your children. We strive to encourage families to help us create a community of support for all our students that fosters curiosity and a love for learning, guiding them to be good citizens and friends that help us all achieve our highest potential. We know you want the best for your children, and so do we. The opportunities that we can provide are greatly enhanced by your support and involvement. My door is always open, and I look forward to working with all of you. You and your families are a huge part of what makes the St. John-Endicott Cooperative Schools so special, and together we can achieve great things!

    Sincerely,

    Mark Purvine
